Muchas cosas pueden distraernos del llamado de Dios. Vivimos en un mundo apresurado, tecnológico, confuso y cambiante. Las exigencias de los horarios de trabajo, los cuidados de nuestras familias, las dificultades de la vida diaria, y ahora, la imposibilidad de reunirnos y adorar juntos, podrían hacernos perder de vista el asegurar nuestra vocación y elección. Entonces, ¿cómo mantenemos nuestro enfoque nítido, las prioridades en orden y el discernimiento del llamado de Dios en medio de todo esto? Esto puede ser un desafío para muchos de nosotros.

2 Pedro 1:10 dice: “Por lo cual, hermanos, tanto más procurad HACER FIRME VUESTRA VOCACIÓN Y ELECCIÓN; … (RVR). El mandato es claro: "Hacer que su vocación y elección sean seguras" o, como dice la Biblia versión NVI, "…esfuércense más todavía por asegurarse del LLAMADO de Dios,”

¿QUÉ SIGNIFICA ASEGURAR NUESTRO LLAMADO Y ELECCIÓN?

El apóstol Pedro está tocando el punto básico de que es posible que un cristiano se aleje de Dios. “Pero el que no tiene estas cosas tiene la vista muy corta; es ciego, habiendo olvidado la purificación de sus antiguos pecados.” (2 Pedro 1:9).

Sin embargo, Pedro no quiere dar la impresión de que la caída es inevitable. La segunda parte de 2 Pedro 1:10 dice: "... porque haciendo estas cosas, no caeréis jamás.”

Espiritualmente hablando, debido a que es posible que uno pierda lo que ha ganado espiritualmente, debería estimularlo a tomar más medidas para asegurarse de aferrarse a lo que tiene. ¿Cómo? "... porque haciendo estas cosas, no caeréis jamás.”

Si constantemente crece y aplica las cosas cuales Pedro habló anteriormente (2 Pedro 1:5-8), entonces no tropezará, no caerá. Las personas que se apartan dejan de seguir los mandamientos del Señor. Dejan de crecer como cristianos. Por lo tanto, sigan trabajando en ello y no caerán. “Por esto, yo no dejaré de recordaros siempre estas cosas, aunque vosotros las sepáis, y estéis confirmados en la verdad presente.” (2 Pedro 1:12).

El "LLAMADO" de un creyente es que Dios lo lleva a la SALVACIÓN. Pedro alude a este llamado anteriormente en el mismo capítulo cuando dice que Dios “… nos llamó por su gloria y excelencia,” (2 Pedro 1:3).

2 Pedro capítulo 1 afirma que el creyente debe cultivar las cualidades enumeradas en los versículos 5–7. Es evidente que Pedro se está dirigiendo a aquellos que ya tienen "FE," cual él enumera como la primera (y fundamental) cualidad. Además, Pedro supone que algunos de los que no demostraron estas cualidades, de hecho, son salvos porque "Pero el que no tiene estas cosas tiene la vista muy corta; es ciego, habiendo olvidado la purificación de sus antiguos pecados." (2 Pedro 1:9). 2 Pedro 1:4. La palabra hebrea para “SAGRADO” significa “SANTIFICADO.” Cualquier cosa que es santificada o apartada para Dios es sagrada. CUALIDADES PIADOSAS QUE LOS CREYENTES DEBEN AGREGAR A SU FE

2 Pedro 1:5–7 enumera las cualidades piadosas que los creyentes deben agregar a su FE: VIRTUD, CONOCIMIENTO, DOMINIO PROPIO, PACIENCIA, PIEDAD, AFECTO FRATERNAL, AMOR. Estas cualidades son "estas cosas" del versículo 10, y de ese modo se insta al lector a "hacer firme su vocación y elección."

Pedro supone que los creyentes ya han ejercido la fe y que estas cualidades deben ser agregadas a su fe.

2 Pedro 1:11. Efesios 4: 1-6, Yo pues, preso en el Señor, OS RUEGO QUE ANDÉIS COMO ES DIGNO DE LA VOCACIÓN CON QUE FUISTEIS LLAMADOS, 2 con toda humildad y mansedumbre, soportándoos con paciencia los unos a los otros en amor, 3 solícitos en guardar la unidad del Espíritu en el vínculo de la paz; 4 un cuerpo, y un Espíritu, como fuisteis también llamados en una misma esperanza de vuestra vocación; 5 un Señor, una fe, un bautismo, 6 un Dios y Padre de todos, el cual es sobre todos, y por todos, y en todos.

En resumen, ASEGURAR EL LLAMADO Y LA ELECCIÓN de uno es vivir nuestra vida cristiana en el poder del Espíritu Santo. Es hacer más que simplemente hablar de los labios para afuera. Aquellos que profesan la salvación, pero nunca crecen en su caminar con Dios, tendrán inseguridad, siempre preguntándose si son realmente salvos o no. Aquellos que crezcan cada vez más a la imagen de Cristo estarán "seguros" de su llamado y elección. Sabrán que tienen vida eterna (ver1 Juan 5:13), y serán testimonios vivientes del poder de Dios para cambiar vidas.

REMAIN FOCUSED ON YOUR CALLING

Many things can distract us from God’s calling. We live in a fast paced, technologically fueled, confusing and fast-changing world. The demands of work schedules, the cares of our families, the difficulties of daily living, and now, the inability to meet and worship together, could make us lose sight of making our calling and election sure. So how do we keep our focus sharp, priorities in order, and discern God’s calling in the midst of it all? This can be challenging for many of us.

2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to MAKE YOUR CALL AND ELECTION SURE… (NKJV). The clear command is to “make your calling and election sure,” or, as the NIV puts it, “make every effort to confirm your calling and election.”

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MAKE OUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE?

The Apostle Peter is addressing the basic point that, it is possible for a Christian to fall away. “For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins” (2 Peter 1:9).

However, Peter doesn't want it to come across that falling away is inevitable. The second part of 2 Peter 1:10, reads, “… for if you do these things you will never stumble;"

Because it is possible for you to lose what you have gained, it ought to spur you to greater action to make sure you hang on to what you have. How? “If you do these things you will never stumble.”

If you constantly grow and apply the things Peter discussed earlier (2 Peter 1:5-8), then you won't stumble, you won't fall away. People who fall away stop following the Lord's commands. They stop growing as Christians. Therefore, keep working at it and you won't fall. “For this reason, I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth” (2 Peter 1:12).

A believer’s “CALLING” is God’s drawing him to SALVATION. Peter alludes to this calling earlier in the same chapter when he speaks of God “who CALLED us by his own glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3).

2 Peter chapter 1 is affirming that the believer must cultivate the qualities listed in verses 5–7. It is apparent that Peter is addressing those who already have “FAITH,” which he lists as the first (and foundational) quality. Also, Peter presumes that some of those who did not demonstrate these qualities had in fact been saved, for “whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins” (2 Peter 1:9). So, being cleansed from past sin does not automatically mean a person will grow in goodness, knowledge, etc., but, if he doesn’t “possess these qualities in increasing measure” (verse 8), he is spiritually myopic and forgetful of God’s GRACE, and could eventually fall away.

LET’S EXAMINE THE COMMAND TO “MAKE YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE”

A Call to Holiness

2 Peter 1:3. The believers’ “godliness” is somehow being threatened by their circumstances. The apostle, is therefore, providing reassurance that they have all the resources they need to persevere within their knowledge of God (the One who called them).

2 Peter 1:4. Peter adds that God’s “divine nature” entails “very great and precious promises” through which believers “may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” God’s goal is to produce a SACRED people for Himself (see 1 Peter 1:13–16).

The Hebrew word for "SACRED" means "SANCTIFIED." Anything that is sanctified or set apart for God is sacred. Suppose you have ten dollars in your wallet, and that you want to offer a dollar for the Lord's work. It is possible that you have received those ten dollars as change in some store, and that the store had received them from some gambler, who in turn may have received them from a prostitute, who may also have received them from a thief, etc. The moment you set aside that money for God is sacred. Everything that is SANCTIFIED for God is SACRED.

Ø 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, lists behaviors which render people unsanctified and will prevent them from entering the kingdom of heaven. Which are those activities? ____________________.

Ø 1 Corinthians 6:11, says: “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were SANCTIFIED, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” At which moment does a person’s sanctification, (being made holy) before God, takes place? ____________________.

Ø People today should have the same goal to become holy people. Have you been made holy by the washing of your sins in the cleansing blood in Jesus Christ? ________________________.

GODLY QUALITIES THAT BELIEVERS SHOULD ADD TO THEIR FAITH

2 Peter 1:5–7 lists godly qualities that believers should add to their FAITH: GOODNESS, KNOWLEDGE, SELF-CONTROL, PERSEVERANCE, GODLINESS, MUTUAL AFFECTION, AND LOVE. Those qualities are the “these things” of verse 10, and the reader is urged thereby to “make your calling and election sure.”

Peter presumes that believers have already exercised faith and that these qualities are to be added to their faith.

Ø Which of the above attributes are you lacking today? _______________________________.

Ø What are you doing to ensure that you add the qualities you are lacking? ______________.

2 Peter 1:8. Here is mentioned a fruitful “knowledge” of Christ (compare verse 3) that will enable believers to display God’s character effectively. This comes through maintaining a close relationship with Christ. Jesus called it “abiding” in Him. (John 15).

2 Peter 1:9. When the qualities listed in verses 5–7 are not present in a believer; it betrays the fact that he’s forgotten his true identity in Christ. Believers have been “cleansed from . . . old sins,” and we must not forget it. By persisting in sin, believers are “blinded” to their new identity as a holy people for God. Compare (1 Peter 4:1–6 and Romans 6:1–2).

2 Peter 1:10. Considering all that comes before, we should see the exhortation to “make your calling and election sure” as a call to “shore up” our righteous character as a holy people. We are told to “shore up” our “calling and election” to be holy as God is holy by exhibiting the list of behaviors in verses 5–7, so we do not “fall” into past sinful behavior (see 1 Peter 4:1–6).

2 Peter 1:11. Those who successfully display the qualities in verses 5–7 are the ones who are assured of their salvation and can go through this world confident that they will “receive a rich welcome” (NIV) as children of God and co-heirs with Christ.

Ø Looking at your current spiritual condition through God’s eyes, what type of welcome you would receive today in the Kingdom of Heaven? ___________________________________________.

THE APOSTLE PAUL ALSO PLEADED CHRISTIANS TO WALK WORTHY OF GOD’S CALLING

Ephesians 4:1-6, I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, BESEECH YOU TO WALK WORTHY OF THE CALLING WITH WHICH YOU WERE CALLED, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

In summary, to make one’s CALLING AND ELECTION SURE is to live out our Christian life in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is to do more than simply pay lip service to Christ. Those who profess salvation but never grow in their walk with God will suffer a lack of assurance, always wondering if they are really saved or not. Those who grow ever more like Christ will be “sure” of their calling and election. They will know they have eternal life (see 1 John 5:13); they will be living testimonies of the power of God to change lives.

Hebrews 12:1-2

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

2 LOOKING UNTO JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

LA NATURALEZA INMUTABLE DE DIOS

Esta lección está destinada a proporcionar sugerencias para el estudio en grupo (grupos familiares, en la era actual del virus Covid-19) y será de mejor beneficio si cada miembro del grupo lee la lección, una sección a la vez, (hay cinco secciones) y luego se unen usando la Biblia para facilitar más pensamientos, discusión, aprendizaje y aplicación práctica. Mi oración es que usted en verdad llegue a conocer a Dios el Padre, a través de su hijo Jesucristo. El gozo o la tristeza en esta vida y en la eternidad dependen de su respuesta a la invitación de Jesús. El lugar donde irá después de su muerte también depende de su voluntad de aceptar que necesita un Salvador y creer que Jesús es el ÚNICO SALVADOR

y así tener la promesa de la vida eterna.

NUESTRA LECCIÓN DE HOY

La Biblia revela un cuadro detallado del carácter de Dios. Quizás la característica más sobresaliente del carácter de Dios es que Él es INMUTABLE o INVARIABLE y, por lo tanto, podemos confiar en Él hasta la eternidad.

Ritmo de Cambio en el mundo

A menudo he hablado sobre el ritmo de cambio, cual se ha acelerado en los últimos años hasta el punto de hacer girar nuestras cabezas, y podemos sentirnos desorientados por nuestra cultura. Discuta los cambios que más le han impactado. Tal vez esos cambios sean positivos, como un nuevo medicamento que apareció justo cuando lo necesitaba. 1. LAS PROMESAS DE DIOS SON INALTERABLES

§ Estas promesas nunca pueden fluctuar porque el Dios que las hizo no puede cambiar. Él no cambia de opinión, y su gracia no va y viene.

§ En su discurso de despedida a Israel, Joshua le recordó a su audiencia: “… reconoced, pues, con todo vuestro corazón y con toda vuestra alma, que no ha faltado una palabra de todas las buenas palabras que Jehová vuestro Dios había dicho de vosotros; todas os han acontecido, no ha faltado ninguna de ellas.” (Josué 23:14).

Ø Imagina que estuvieras acostando a un niño de ocho años en su cama para dormirse y quisieras explicarle este concepto para tranquilizarlo sobre la naturaleza duradera de los planes de Dios para con nosotros, tanto en el tiempo como en la eternidad. ¿Cómo lo expresarías en términos infantiles? _________________________________________.

3. LAS PROVISIONES DE DIOS SON INALTERABLES

§ Ya hemos visto Santiago 1:17, pero Leámoslo ahora en la traducción NVI: “Toda buena dádiva y todo don perfecto descienden de lo alto, donde está el Padre que creó las lumbreras celestes, y que no cambia como los astros ni se mueve como las sombras.”

4. LA PERSONALIDAD DE DIOS ES INVARIABLE

§ En esta sección, nos centraremos en el Salmo 102, (RVR 1960), así que aprovechemos la oportunidad de estudiar este pasaje más de cerca. Voltee allí y use esta guía simple para analizar el pasaje:

Salmo 62:8

This lesson is intended to provide suggestions for group study (family groups, due the current era of Covid-19 virus) and is best used if each group member reads through the lesson, one section at a time, (there are five sections) then come together using the Bible to facilitate further thinking, discussion, learning, and practical application. You can also use this as a personal Bible study, if you’re unable to join a group. Hence, this lesson requires some effort and participation on your part.

The most important question in life is “HOW CAN I KNOW GOD?” If you’re wondering that today, then I am glad to share with you the only answer that will ever satisfy your heart. It’s a wonderful, true answer found in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself was asked in John 14:6 how we can be with the Father. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

My prayer is that you would indeed come to know God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ. Your joy or your sorrow for this life and all eternity depends on your response to Jesus’ invitation. Your destination one moment after you die also depends on your willingness to see your need for a Savior and to believe that need is answered in Jesus’ promise of eternal life.

OUR LESSON TODAY

The Bible reveals a detailed portrait of the character of God. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of God’s character is that He is UNCHANGEABLE or IMMUTABLE, and therefore, we can trust Him onto eternity.

Rate of Change (ROC) in the World

I have often talked about the Rate of Change (ROC), which has accelerated in recent years to the point of making our heads spin, and we may feel disoriented by our culture. Discuss the changes that have most impacted you. Perhaps those changes are positive, like a new medication that came along just when you needed it. Or perhaps they are negative, like troubling changes brought about by the current coronavirus pandemic. What changes do you like? Which ones disturb you?

Earthly changes are counterbalanced by the unchanging nature of God. Look up these verses that speak of God’s unchanging nature and contrast His immutability (changelessness) with the shifting tides of time:

§ Malachi 3:6

§ Psalm 102:25-27

§ Hebrews 13:8

1. GOD’S PROMISES ARE UNCHANGEABLE

§ These promises can never waver because the God who made them cannot change. He doesn’t change His mind, and His grace doesn’t come and go.

§ In his farewell address to Israel, Joshua reminded his audience, “…And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.” (Joshua 23:14).

§ Read 2 Peter 1:2-4.

Ø Some of us who have known the Lord for a while, and loved our Bibles, have collected some of these great and precious promises that have borne us through difficult days. Share some of the biblical promises that have been meaningful to you during difficult periods of life and how they helped you. ___________________________________________________________________.

2. HIS PURPOSES ARE UNCHANGEABLE

§ Read Ezekiel 24:14.

Ø Can you think of a time when another person didn’t follow through on a commitment, they had made to you? How did that complicate your life? _____________________________________.

§ That will never happen with God. “God created the universe, the world, and each of us with distinct purposes in mind. His plans were established from before the foundation of the world. His intentions and decrees don’t evolve with more knowledge, for He is omniscient. They don’t change direction because He doesn’t second-guess Himself like we do.”

Ø Imagine you were tucking an eight-year-old child into bed and wanted to explain this concept to reassure him/her of the enduring nature of God’s plans for us in both time and eternity. How would you state it in childlike terms? ______________________________________________.

3. GOD’S PROVISIONS ARE UNCHANGEABLE

§ We’ve already looked up James 1:17, but read it now in the Phillips translation: “But every good endowment that we possess and every complete gift that we have received must come from above, from the Father of all lights, with whom there is never the slightest variation or shadow of inconsistency.”

Ø You undoubtedly have some pressing needs in your life right now. They may be financial, physical, social, emotional, relational, or spiritual. Would you take a moment to list one or two areas in which you need God’s provision? ______________________, ___________________.

Ø With that in mind, read Genesis 22:14. What name for God is listed there? _______________.

4. GOD’S PERSONALITY IS UNCHANGEABLE

§ In this section, we’ll focus on Psalm 102, (NKJV) so let’s take the opportunity of studying this passage more closely. Turn there and use this simple guide to analyze the passage:

Ø Verses 1-2: We can detect the mood of this Psalm by noticing the verb “cry” in verse 1, and in verse 2 the phrase, “Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my ___________________.”

Ø Verse 2 ends by asking God to answer him _________________________________________.

Ø Verses 3-4: Notice how the writer feels his life is fading away.

Ø Verses 6-7: The psalmist compares himself to three different birds. What do they all have in common? ___________________________________________________________________.

Ø Verse 8: This man’s problems are complicated by his _________________________________.

Ø Verses 9-11: He also feels ________________ has turned away from him, sending him indignation and wrath.

§ Think about how the tide always turns our perspective when we arrive at the same truth.

§ Verses 13-17 give us more insight into the background of Psalm 102. The writer is distressed about Jerusalem (Zion), but he now directs his thoughts to the Lord’s unchanging promises and purposes for His city.

We could summed up the lesson of Psalm 102 like this: “When we are afflicted, overwhelmed, complaining, unable to sleep, and encircled by our enemies, we must turn our eyes to Him who is always the same, whose years have no end. When our world spins too fast and changes too much, we need to contemplate the immutability of our God. His promises, purposes, provision, and personality cannot and will not change.”

5. GOD’S PROPHECIES ARE UNCHANGEABLE

§ Read 2 Peter 3:9.

Ø According to 2 Peter 3:9, the Lord’s plan for the future is right on schedule, but why is He waiting so long to unleash the Second Coming of Christ? ________________________________.

Trust in Him at all times, you people;

God the father has established that salvation is ONLY through faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

La frase “NO DE ESTE MUNDO” es quizás más conocida por ser una empresa de ropa cristiana. Pero, ¿qué significa exactamente que los cristianos “no son de este mundo?” La frase proviene de Juan 18:36, donde Jesús dice: “... Mi reino no es de este mundo..." Como Sus seguidores, los cristianos son miembros de Su reino cual “no es de este mundo.”

Sí, estamos en la tierra por ahora, pero nuestra ciudadanía está en el cielo. El apóstol Pablo hizo este punto muy claramente. Mas nuestra ciudadanía está en los cielos, de donde también esperamos al Salvador, al Señor Jesucristo; (Filipenses 3:20).

El Mundo Es El Dominio De Satanás, Del Cual Fuimos Rescatados

Colosenses dice de los cristianos que hemos sido liberados de “la potestad de las tinieblas,” “el cual nos ha librado de la potestad de las tinieblas, y trasladado al reino de su amado Hijo,” (Colosenses 1:13).

El príncipe de este dominio es el diablo. 2 en los cuales anduvisteis en otro tiempo, siguiendo la corriente de este mundo, conforme al príncipe de la potestad del aire, el espíritu que ahora opera en los hijos de desobediencia, 3 entre los cuales también todos nosotros vivimos en otro tiempo en los deseos de nuestra carne, haciendo la voluntad de la carne y de los pensamientos, y éramos por naturaleza hijos de ira, lo mismo que los demás. (Efesios 2:2-3)

Por Eso Se Decreta A Los Cristianos Que No Amamos Al Mundo

El hecho de que los cristianos deben ser diferentes de los que no siguen a Cristo, se afirma claramente en 1 Juan 2:15-17: “15 No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él. 16 Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, los deseos de la carne, los deseos de los ojos, y la vanagloria de la vida, no proviene del Padre, sino del mundo. 17 Y el mundo pasa, y sus deseos; pero el que hace la voluntad de Dios permanece para siempre.” El término original que se traduce “mundo” es usado aquí por el apóstol Juan para identificar a aquellas personas cuyos pensamientos y acciones se oponen a Dios, aquellos cuyas vidas no están guiadas por la palabra de Dios.

La súplica bíblica de no amar al mundo se expresa en un lenguaje muy gráfico e inconfundible en Santiago 4:4, donde leemos: “!!Oh almas adúlteras! ¿No sabéis que la amistad del mundo es enemistad contra Dios? Cualquiera, pues, que quiera ser amigo del mundo, se constituye enemigo de Dios.”

Este versículo claramente hace una separación entre el mundo y Dios; y por lo tanto también entre el mundo y el cristiano. Es imposible estar “¡ni hacia un lado ni hacia el otro!”

No podemos tener un pie en el mundo y un pie en el reino de Dios; tiene que ser uno u otro. Jesús mismo refuerza tal pensamiento en Mateo 12:30: “El que no es conmigo, contra mí es; ...”

Mucha gente quiere una tercera opción, un área de no compromiso donde no están sirviendo a Dios ni al mundo. Pero Jesús dijo que esto es imposible; estamos a favor o en contra de él. En otras palabras, si NO estamos sirviendo a Dios, estamos sirviendo al diablo, incluso sin darnos cuenta.

Pregunta: ¿A QUIÉN ESTÁS SIRVIENDO? ¿A DIOS O A SATANÁS? Tu vida diaria muestra a quién estás sirviendo realmente.

Pablo dijo esto en Romanos 12:2: “No os conforméis a este siglo, sino transformaos por medio de la renovación de vuestro entendimiento, para que comprobéis cuál sea la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta.” Para el cristiano, la conformidad con el mundo es inaceptable. De hecho, debemos ser completamente diferentes del mundo para que otros puedan ver lo que es ser un seguidor de Dios.

El apóstol Santiago nos da otra idea de cómo un cristiano debería estar viviendo en el mundo: “La religión pura y sin mácula delante de Dios el Padre es esta: … y guardarse sin mancha del mundo.” (Santiago 1:27). Cada uno de nosotros que buscamos vivir como cristianos, no debemos permitir que las prácticas y los pensamientos de este mundo invadan nuestras vidas.

¿Es Posible Escapar De Este Mundo Físico Que Nos Rodea?

Ciertamente no. Sin embargo, mientras estamos viviendo en el mundo, los cristianos NO deberíamos estar viviendo como el mundo. Debemos ser diferentes. Permítanme, una vez más, enfatizar este punto importante. los incrédulos deben ver a Cristo viviendo en nosotros. Pablo lo expuso muy bien en Filipenses 2:15: “Para que seáis irreprensibles y sencillos, hijos de Dios sin mancha en medio de una generación maligna y perversa, en medio de la cual resplandecéis como luminares en el mundo;”

También dijo en Gálatas 2:20, “Con Cristo estoy juntamente crucificado, y ya no vivo yo, más vive Cristo en mí; y lo que ahora vivo en la carne, lo vivo en la fe del Hijo de Dios, el cual me amó y se entregó a sí mismo por mí.”

Pablo también llama a sus lectores a “Salid de en medio de ellos, y apartaos, dice el Señor, Y no toquéis lo inmundo; Y yo os recibiré,” (2 Corintios 6:17). Las personas de las que los cristianos deben separarse son las que viven como el mundo. Los cristianos deben vivir en entre las personas inicuas, es decir, el mundo. El desafío es permanecer íntegro.

EL PECADO Y EL HIJO DE DIOS

4 Todo aquel que comete pecado, infringe también la ley; pues el pecado es infracción de la ley. 5 Y sabéis que él apareció para quitar nuestros pecados, y no hay pecado en él. 6 Todo aquel que permanece en él, no peca; todo aquel que peca, no le ha visto, ni le ha conocido. 7 Hijitos, nadie os engañe; el que hace justicia es justo, como él es justo. 8 El que practica el pecado es del diablo; porque el diablo peca desde el principio. Para esto apareció el Hijo de Dios, para deshacer las obras del diablo. 9 Todo aquel que es nacido de Dios, no practica el pecado, porque la simiente de Dios permanece en él; y no puede pecar, porque es nacido de Dios. (1 Juan 3:4-9)

Amados hermanos, cuando usted acuda a Cristo y se entregue completa y verdaderamente a Él, entonces se apartará del pecado y de la contaminación del del mundo y no estará involucrado más en él. No creemos que uno pueda ser convertido y al mismo tiempo continuar viviendo una vida pecaminosa. Esto no quiere decir que no pecará de vez en cuando, pero sí significa que no tendrá por regla vivir en el pecado.

La Meta Para Todo Cristiano Es Alcanzar Los Tesoros Guardados En Aquel Lugar Más Allá Del Cielo Azul

La inmensidad de la eternidad yace ante nosotros. Cada momento nos acerca más.

NOT OF THIS WORLD

The phrase “NOT OF THIS WORLD” is perhaps most well-known for being a Christian apparel company. But what exactly does it mean that Christians are “not of this world?” The phrase comes from John 18:36, where Jesus says, “… My kingdom is not of this world. ...” As His followers, Christians are members of His kingdom which is “not of this world.”

Yes, we are on earth for now, but our citizenship is in heaven. The Apostle Paul made this point very clearly. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (Philippians 3:20).

The World Is The Domain Of Satan, From Which We Were Rescued

Colossians says of Christians that we have been delivered from the “domain of darkness,” “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,” (Colossians 1:13).

The prince of this domain is the devil. 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. (Ephesians 2:2-3)

That Is Why Christians Are Commanded Not To Love The World

The fact that Cristian people are to be different from those who do not follow Christ, is clearly stated in 1 John 2:15-17: "Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever." The original term that is translated "world" is used here by John to identify those people whose thoughts and actions are opposed to God, those whose lives are not guided by God's word.

The Scriptural plea to not love the world is put in very graphic, unmistakable language in James 4:4, where we read: "You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."

This verse clearly makes a separation between the world and God; and therefore, the world and the Christian. It would be impossible for anyone to "ride the fence" in this regard.

We cannot have one foot in the world and one foot in God's camp, it has to be one or the other. Jesus Himself reinforces such a thought in Matthew 12:30: "He who is not with Me is against Me; …" So many people want a third choice, an area of non-commitment where they are neither serving God or the world. But Jesus said this is impossible; we are either for Him or we are against Him. In other words, if we are not serving God we are serving the devil, even if we don't realize it.

Question: WHO ARE YOU SERVING? GOD OR SATAN? Your daily living shows whom you are truly serving.

Paul had this to say in Romans 12:2: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." For the Christian, conformity with the world is unacceptable. In fact, we are to be completely different from the world so that others can see what it looks like to be a follower of God.

The Apostle James gives us another insight as to how a Christian should be living above the world: "Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: … and to keep oneself unstained by the world." (James 1:27). For every one of us seeking to live as a Christian, we are not to allow the practices and thoughts of this world to invade our lives.

Is It Possible To Escape This Physical World That Surrounds Us?

Certainly not. However, we are living in the world, Christian people should not be living as the world. We are to be different. Allow me, once again, to emphasize this important point. the non-Christians we encounter should be able to see Christ living in us. Paul put it very well in Philippians 2:15: "Prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world."

He also said in Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Paul also calls his readers to, “go out from their midst” or “Come out from them and be separate,” (2 Corinthians 6:17). The people the Christians are to separate from are the world. Christians must live in and among evil people, that is, the world. The challenge is to remain unblemished by their wickedness.

SIN AND THE CHILD OF GOD

4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. (1 John 3:4-9)

Dear brethren, when you come to Christ and give yourself completely and truly to Him, then you will separate yourself from sin and the contamination of the world, and you will not be involved in it anymore. We do not believe that one can be converted and at the same time continue to live a sinful life. This does not mean that you will not sin from time to time, but it does mean that you will not have as a rule to live in sin.

The Goal For All Christians Is To Reach The Treasures Laid Up Somewhere Beyond The Blue

The vastness of eternity lies before us. Each moment brings us closer.

1. Each of us (that is all of us) must depart this world and then face judgment - Hebrews 9:27

2. We should live with unwavering HOPE and un-fearing CERTAINTY. Hebrews 11:13-17

3. Sadly, most people live their lives without this hope.

THE PROMISE OF AN ETERNAL DWELLING PLACE- John 14:1-4

1. The mansions are the eternal home for all who have faithfully followed Jesus. -ARE YOU FOLLOWING JESUS FAITHFULLY?

2. It is the spiritual abode for the redeemed. -AND YOU, HAVE YOU BEEN REDEEMED?

We Long For Home Because This World Is Not Complete - II Corinthians 5:1-9

1. While we are in this world, we are not really home.

2. We are just passing through to another land beyond the azure blue.

Christians are not of this world. We have been adopted as heirs of heaven by God Himself. In the meanwhile, we wait (Titus 2:13), and we hope (Romans 5:5), and we do what we can to bring others into the “NOT OF THIS WORLD” relationship with Jesus Christ. But this world is not our home, and never will be.

It is my prayer, that if you are still loving and trusting the world, at this very hour you change your ways and turn your eyes directly on God, and ask Him for the true wisdom that will guide you on the path that leads to Glory and eternal life.

We will survive this sojourn only by giving careful attention to the Word of God, frequent prayer and with fellowship with our brethren. God promises deliverance for his children.

SUPERANDO LOS VACÍOS EN LA VIDA

En el corazón de cada persona viva hay un profundo vacío que grita para ser llenado. Intentamos llenar ese vacío con todo, desde actividades de adrenalina, carreras, relaciones, compras compulsivas, incluso con otros comportamientos destructivos. Pero el problema con estos intentos es el siguiente: ninguno de ellos finalmente satisfará. Se puede encontrar cierta cantidad de placer, e incluso satisfacción, en las esas cosas por un tiempo, pero al final, lo dejarán vacío, anhelando algo más.

Piensen en el rey Salomón. Es difícil para nosotros entender lo rico que él fue. 1 Reyes 10:14 nos dice que Salomón recibió 666 talentos de oro cada año como ingreso base. En el mercado actual, eso sería alrededor de 1,500 millones al año. ¡Eso es mucho dinero sin importar en qué siglo vivas! Básicamente, Salomón era tan rico que podía comprar lo que quisiera; y aprovechó al máximo sus bienes. Él escribió en Eclesiastés 2:10, “No negué a mis ojos ninguna cosa que desearan, ni aparté mi corazón de placer alguno...” ¿No es ese el sueño de la mayoría de los hombres de hoy? ¿Recursos ilimitados, poder y respeto, excitación, y placer? Muchas personas sueñan en secreto, “Si pudiera ganar la lotería, entonces todo estaría completo.” Solomon lo tenía todo. Pero escuchen lo que Solomon finalmente confesó: “Miré yo luego todas las obras que habían hecho mis manos, y el trabajo que tomé para hacerlas; y he aquí, TODO ERA VANIDAD y aflicción de espíritu, y sin provecho debajo del sol.” (Eclesiastés 2:11)

La palabra hebrea para “vanidad” utilizada en este versículo significa literalmente "vapor" o "aliento." También se puede traducir como "sin sentido", "vacío" o "fútil." Salomón nos dice que, después de experimentar todo lo que el mundo tiene para ofrecer, descubrió que no sirve de nada. No tiene sentido perseguir objetivos mundanos porque desaparecen con nuestro último aliento. Ese fundamento nos ayuda a entender las otras formas en que la palabra vanidad se usa en la Biblia.

¿Todo vanidad y aflicción de espíritu? ¿Nada que ganar? Esas son palabras fuertes. ¡Pero se pone peor! Salomón continuó en el versículo 17, “Aborrecí, por tanto, la vida...” Entonces, el hombre que lo tenía todo: mujeres, aventura, poder, recursos ilimitados para sus deseos creativos, incluso hermosos retiros para aliviar el estrés, ¿termina aborreciendo la vida? Salomón no dijo que le faltaba algo en alguna área, sino que “Aborrecía la vida.” ESO ES PORQUE NADA EN ESTA VIDA PUEDE LLENAR EL VACÍO. NADA.

LO QUE FUE VERDAD EN LA VIDA DE SOLOMON, TAMBIÉN ES VERDAD PARA NOSOTROS HOY.

Cuando tratamos de hacer que las cosas en esta vida llenen el vacío que sentimos, terminamos aborreciendo las cosas en las que pusimos todas nuestra esperanza, porque finalmente no nos satisfacen. Muchas personas saltan de aventura en aventura buscando su próxima “dosis.” Algunos incluso saltan de una relación a otra. Pero esto llega a hacer un ciclo interminable porque SOLO DIOS PUEDE LLENAR EL VACÍO.

El matemático y filósofo religioso francés, Blaise Pascal, una vez dijo: "Hay un vacío en forma de Dios en el corazón de cada hombre que no puede ser llenado por ninguna cosa creada, sino solo por Dios, el Creador, dado a conocer a través de Jesús".

Se supone que el vacío y la inquietud en nuestros corazones están ahí. Así es como fuimos creados. No significa que estamos haciendo algo mal si experimentamos vacío en nuestras vidas. Significa que somos humanos. Fuimos creados con este vacío que literalmente nada en este mundo puede llenar. Y el ser completamente humano significa permitirnos sentir y experimentar ese vacío por la verdad que es: UN HUECO HECHO PARA CRISTO MISMO - UNA MORADA PARA ÉL DENTRO DE NUESTRO CORAZÓN.

El vacío puede ayudarte a reconocer los verdaderos deseos de tu alma. Es bueno desear. No debemos avergonzarnos de eso. Pero nuestra tentación es llenarlo con algo, incluso con cosas buenas. Pero estas cosas son solo rellenos temporales que a menudo aumentan el vacío mismo.

Cuando intentamos llenar el vacío en nosotros con otras cosas aparte de Dios, esas cosas se convierten en ídolos. muchas de esas "otras" cosas no están mal en sí mismas. Somos libres de disfrutarlas en su lugar apropiado, pero cualquier cosa en nuestras vidas que obtenga la devoción que solo Dios merece se convierte en un ídolo. Incluso las personas maravillosas en nuestras vidas pueden convertirse en ídolos. Solo en una relación continua con Dios encontraremos la paz máxima, intimidad, perdón y gozo que nuestros corazones anhelan.

En su libro Tiempo para Dios, Jacques Phillipe dice: “[El vacío] purifica nuestro amor por Dios ... el Señor nunca nos permite experimentar un momento de prueba, [dolor o vacío], a menos que tenga la intención de traer gracia más abundantes. No te desanimes. Persevera."

En otras palabras, parece que nos falta algo, así que tenemos este deseo doloroso, pero ni siquiera estamos seguros de qué. (En el fondo, es Dios). A menudo parece que Dios se ha alejado cuando nos sentimos así, pero en realidad está más cerca que nunca.

La experiencia del vacío es en realidad un regalo maravilloso, no es algo que simplemente deseemos hacer desaparecer.

Entonces eso me lleva a la siguiente pregunta: ¿Qué hacemos mientras tanto, en medio de caminar con Cristo en ese vacío?

AQUÍ HAY CINCO COSAS QUE PUEDES HACER:

1. Pasa tiempo con el Señor. He encontrado que el silencio, extraña y paradójicamente, llena el vacío. Porque el silencio no es una ausencia; es una presencia.

2. Invita más a Cristo en tus relaciones. Reconoce su presencia en cada momento, ya sea que estés solo o con otros; orar más juntos; etc.

3. Pasa tiempo con aquellos que traen gozo saludable a su vida. Familiares, amigos, grupos pequeños y estudios bíblicos, etc.

4. Pídale a Dios una confianza más profunda. Es TAN difícil confiar en Dios en estas experiencias. Sin embargo, dudar está bien si se lo traemos honestamente. Él puede y usará eso para llevarte a un lugar de confianza más profundo en Él.

5. Solo sé. Esta es la cosa más difícil de hacer. Simplemente estar en el vacío, no huir de él, no tratar de arreglarlo o llenarlo con otras cosas. Dejar que EL te ame y haga el trabajo que quiere hacer en ti. Mientras tanto, puedes reflexionar dentro de ti mismo: ¿Qué está tratando de enseñarme Cristo durante este período de vacío? ¿Cómo quiere Cristo que crezca a partir de esta experiencia?

Debes saber que, si experimentas vacíos en tu vida, no estás solo. Innumerables santos lo atravesaron. Estás en el camino correcto.

Él nos promete, a ti y a mí, darnos todo si rendimos todo lo que somos y tenemos ante Él. Y en esa promesa debe reposar nuestra vida.

RECUERDA QUE SOLO DIOS PUEDE LLENAR EL VACÍO

"... [Dios] ha puesto eternidad en el corazón de ellos..." - Eclesiastés 3:11

Dios le ha permitido al hombre que ponga el mundo en su corazón para que pueda ver que aún hay lugar para algo más, y que el mundo nunca puede llenar su corazón aquí. Hay muchos hombres que comienzan en la vida diciendo: “Yo voy a obtener todo lo que pueda. La vida es como una naranja y yo voy a exprimirla por todo lo que pueda sacarle, y veré lo que puedo obtener”. Salomón tuvo una gran parte de esto. Y él dijo que no le satisfizo para nada.

"Si encuentro en mí un deseo que ninguna experiencia en este mundo puede satisfacer, la explicación más probable es que fui creado para otro mundo." - C. S. Lewis

El apóstol Pablo escribió en Efesios 3:17-19, 17 para que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones, a fin de que, arraigados y cimentados en amor, 18 seáis plenamente capaces de comprender con todos los santos cuál sea la anchura, la longitud, la profundidad y la altura, 19 y de conocer el amor de Cristo, que excede a todo conocimiento, PARA QUE SEÁIS LLENOS DE TODA LA PLENITUD DE DIOS.

Por último, leemos en Filipenses 3:12-14, 12 No que lo haya alcanzado ya, ni que ya sea perfecto; sino que prosigo, por ver si logro asir aquello para lo cual fui también asido por Cristo Jesús. 13 Hermanos, yo mismo no pretendo haberlo ya alcanzado; pero una cosa hago: olvidando ciertamente lo que queda atrás, y extendiéndome a lo que está delante, 14 PROSIGO A LA META, AL PREMIO DEL SUPREMO LLAMAMIENTO DE DIOS EN CRISTO JESÚS

OVERCOMING THE EMPTINESS IN LIFE

In the heart of every person alive there is a deep void that screams to be filled. We attempt to fill that void with everything from adrenaline rushing activities, to careers, to relationships, to compulsive shopping, even with other destructive behaviors. But the problem with these attempts is this: none of them will ultimately satisfy. Oh, you may find a certain amount of enjoyment and even contentment in those things for a while, but in the end, they will leave you empty, longing for something more.

Think about King Solomon. It is hard for us to wrap our minds around how rich he was. 1 Kings 10:14 tells us that Solomon received 666 talents of gold each year as a base income. In today's market that would be around 1.5 billion a year. That is a lot of money no matter what century you live in! Basically, Solomon was so rich, he could buy whatever he wanted; and he took full advantage of his assets. He wrote in Ecclesiastes 2:10, "And whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I kept my heart from no pleasure…” Isn't that the dream of most men today? Unlimited resources, power and respect, excitement, and pleasure? "If I could just win the lottery then I'll be all set," many people secretly dream. Solomon had all of it. But listen to what Solomon eventually confessed— "Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, ALL WAS VANITY and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun." (Eccl. 2:11)

The Hebrew word for “vanity” used in this verse literally means “vapor” or “breath.” It can also be translated “meaningless,” “emptiness” or “futility.” Solomon is telling us that, after exploring all the world has to offer, he has found it amounts to nothing. It is pointless to chase worldly goals because they disappear with our last breath. That foundation helps us understand the other ways the word vanity is used in the Bible.

All vanity and striving after wind? Nothing to be gained? Those are some heavy words. But it gets worse! Solomon continued in verse 17, "So I hated life …” So, the man who had everything—women, adventure, power, unlimited resources for his creative desires, even beautiful retreats to relieve stress, ends up hating life?! Solomon didn't say he was just lacking in some area, but that he "hated life!" THAT'S BECAUSE NOTHING IN THIS LIFE CAN FILL THE VOID. NOTHING.

WHAT WAS TRUE FOR SOLOMON IS TRUE FOR US TODAY.

When we try to make things in this life fill the void we sense, we end up hating those things that we poured all our hopes into, because they ultimately fall short of satisfying us. Many men hop from adventure to adventure seeking their next "fix." Some even hop from one relationship to another. But the problem is it is a never-ending cycle because, ONLY GOD CAN FILL THE VOID.

The French mathematician and religious philosopher, Blaise Pascal, once said: "There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus."

Emptiness and restlessness in our hearts are supposed to be there. That is how we were created. It does not mean we are doing something wrong if we experience emptiness in our lives. It means we are human. We were created with this emptiness that literally nothing in this world can fill. And to be fully human means to allow ourselves to feel and experience that emptiness for the truth of what it is: A HOLE MADE FOR CHRIST HIMSELF — A DWELLING PLACE FOR HIM WITHIN OUR HEART.

Emptiness can help you recognize your soul’s truer desires. It is good to desire. We shouldn’t be ashamed of it. But our temptation is to fill it with some thing — even some good things. But these things are only temporary fillers that often feed into the emptiness itself.

When we attempt to fill the void in us with things other than God, those things become idols. many of those "other" things are not wrong in themselves. We are free to enjoy them in their proper place but anything in our lives that get the devotion that God alone deserves becomes an idol. Even the wonderful people in our lives can become idols. Only in an ongoing relationship with God will we find the ultimate peace, intimacy, forgiveness and joy our hearts long for.

In his book Time for God, Jacques Phillipe says, “[Emptiness] purifies our love for God…the Lord never permits us to experience a time of trial, [pain or emptiness], unless he intends it to bring more abundant graces once it is over. Do not be discouraged. Persevere.”

In other words, it seems like we are missing something — so we have this painful desire, but we are not even sure what for. (Deep down, it is God.) It often seems like God is gone when we feel this way — but He is actually closer than ever.

The experience of emptiness is actually a wonderful gift — not something to be wished away.

So that brings me to the next question: What do we do in the meantime, in the midst of walking with Christ in that emptiness?

HERE ARE FIVE THINGS YOU CAN DO:

1. Spend time with the Lord. I have found that silence, weirdly and paradoxically, fills the emptiness. Because silence is not an absence; it’s presence.

2. Invite Christ into your relationships more. Acknowledge His presence in every moment, whether you are alone or with others; pray together more; etc.

3. Spend time with those who bring wholesome joy to your life. Family, friends, small groups and Bible studies, etc.

4. Ask God for deeper trust. It is SO hard trust God in these experiences. Doubting is okay, though, if we bring that honestly to Him. He can and will use that to bring you to a place of deeper trust in Him.

5. Just be. This is THE hardest thing to do. To just be in the emptiness, not running away from it, not trying to fix it or fill it. Letting Him love you and do the work He wants to do in you. In the meantime, you can reflect within yourself: What is Christ trying to teach me during this period of emptiness? How does Christ want me to grow from this experience?

You need to know that if you experience emptiness, you’re not alone. Countless saints went through it. You are on the right track.

He promises to give you and me everything, as we surrender everything we are and have to Him. I stake my life on this promise.

REMEMBER THAT ONLY GOD CAN FILL THE VOID

"… He [God] has also set eternity in the human heart…" – Ecclesiastes 3:11

God has allowed man to put the world in his heart so that he can see that there is still room for something else, and that the world can never fill his heart. There are many men who start life saying, “I am going to get everything I can. Life is like an orange and I'm going to squeeze it for everything I can get out of it, and I'll see what I can get.” Solomon had a large part of this. And he said it didn't satisfy him at all.

"You have made us for yourself, O God, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you." – St. Augustine

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." – C. S. Lewis

The apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:17-19, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD.

Lastly, we read in Philippians 3:12-14, 12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I PRESS ON TOWARD THE GOAL TO WIN THE PRIZE FOR WHICH GOD HAS CALLED ME HEAVENWARD IN CHRIST JESUS.

ARE YOU PRESSING TOWARD THE GOAL TO WIN THE HEAVENWARD PRIZE IN CHRIST JESUS?
